Seafood Nutrition Partnership: Great Resources for choosing, cooking, and consuming seafood for your health
SeaShare partners with the Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP) in helping Americans learn more about the nutritional benefits of seafood. A few resources we would like to share with our readers:
· RDN Toolkit: This is a great resource for Registered Dietitian-Nutritionists who would like to inspire Americans to enjoy seafood at least twice a week by showing how to select, order, and prepare seafood that is simple and delicious.This is also a great resource for anyone who would like to know more about how to integrate more seafood into their mealtimes.
· Recipes: Delicious and simple recipes, some of which include fun video demonstrations.
· Additional Resources about the nutritional benefits of seafood. Did you know that the fat in a baby’s brain is made up of omega-3s? About half of the brain is made up of omega-3 fats. Seafood is one of the only natural dietary sources rich in the omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, which are essential for brain and eye development. Click on this link for more information.
