National Fisheries Institute's Future Leaders Volunteer at San Francisco-Marin Food Bank with SeaShare
An energetic group of 33 seafood industry professionals, who are recent graduates of the National Fisheries Institute's (NFI) Future Leaders program, volunteered with SeaShare at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank yesterday, repacking over 3,000 pounds of food. This was the culmination of a year-long program in which the Future Leaders annually find new and creative ways to support SeaShare's mission to bring seafood to food banks across the U.S.
Seafood Source just wrote a great article about SeaShare's partnership with the National Fisheries Institute, viewable here.
SeaShare partners with 150 companies. Many of our partners are NFI members, and they provide seafood, processing and other services, packaging, freight, and financial support.
If you are interested in finding out how your company can partner with SeaShare, find out more about your company's giving program. If you are in the seafood industry, it makes sense that your company's philanthropy incorporates seafood. SeaShare can use whatever your company is best at giving.
