SeaShare helps LoveTheWild donate seafood to the Food Bank of the Rockies
A few weeks ago, we got a call from LoveTheWild, a seafood company based in Boulder. CO. They were hoping to donate some seafood through SeaShare for the first time, and weren't sure where to begin. We were happy to help.
SeaShare connected LoveTheWild to the Feeding America affiliated Food Bank of the Rockies in Denver, and the beginning of a beautiful relationship was born. LoveTheWild just donated 4,450 pounds of fish fillets, and 5,400 packaged seafood kits to the Food Bank of the Rockies. This donation will bring high quality seafood protein to the 1 in 7 Coloradans who worry about putting enough food on the table.
LoveTheWild offers sustainably sourced, farm-raised frozen fish fillets paired with bold, artisanal sauces made from clean, all-natural ingredients. LoveTheWild’s co-founders, Jacqueline Claudia and Christy Brouker, are on a mission to change the way Americans view seafood. The duo see this donation as a way to ensure delicious fish from traceable sources is an option for individuals from all walks of life.
Food Bank of the Rockies is the largest private hunger-relief organization in the state of Colorado. The group provides food and supplies to over 500 hunger-relief programs and distributes more than 131,000 meals every day.
