Seafood Leader Partners with SeaShare to Donate Nutritious Seafood to Food Banks Across the U.S.

Seattle, WA: Today, Seashare, a non-profit dedicated to providing nutritious seafood to the national food bank network, announced that Trident Seafoods of Seattle, WA has reached the 20 million meal mark in its donation efforts. Trident is the first seafood company to reach this level.

SeaShare and Trident Seafoods have been partners in the fight against hunger for 23 years. In addition to donations of nutritious, sustainable seafood, Trident provides support to SeaShare so that seafood can be sent food banks as quickly and efficiently as possible. “Trident Seafoods’ generosity and leadership have been instrumental in building SeaShare into the largest seafood donor in the country” said Jim Harmon, Executive Director of SeaShare.

Upon receiving the award, Trident Seafoods’ CEO Joe Bundrant said, “I am honored to accept this award on behalf of the 8,500 employees of Trident, and I challenge others in the seafood industry to strive to reach this 20 million meal mark to feed hungry families.” He went on to say that his father, Chuck Bundrant, a founder of Trident Seafoods has always said, “you make a living with what you get, but you make a life with what you give.”
