Job Opening:  Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will support the organization's mission by sourcing, coordinating, and tracking product movement; from donors to food banks and feeding centers across the country.  The ideal candidate will have seafood production and/or distribution experience, along with a dedication to making a positive impact on hunger-relief.  

Essential Duties

* Develop and Maintain relationships with seafood donors and food banks

* Coordinate and Track product movement:

          Generate receiving documents

          Identify Storage and freight support

          Schedule re-processing, packaging, and labeling

          Send donation information to the food bank network

          Source new product donations

* Source cold storage and transportation partners as needed

* Maintain job files for each donation project:

          Manage inventory accounts

          Review invoices and assign costs to relevant jobs

          Reconcile inventory accounts quarterly

          Prepare quarterly donation reports

* Maintain federal permit with NMFS, and liaison with participating companies as needed

* Assist Executive Dir. and Development Dir. with solicitations

* Utilize information systems appropriately and effectively

Minimum Requirements

* 5 years related experience at a professional level in the seafood industry

* Demonstrated ability to manage projects, improve processes and procedures, and work with minimal supervision

* Strong analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements

* Must be able to travel to remote locations

* Must be able to lift and carry 35 pounds

* Some events require the ability to carry / set up projectors, displays, etc.
