SeaShare took part in the Bainbridge Island School District's recent Salon Night on Global Health
SeaShare was delighted to be asked to take part in the Bainbridge Island School District's Multicultural Advisory Committee's recent Salon Night on Global Health.
The film, 'Bending the Arc', about the incredible efforts of the co-founders of Partners in Health was screened, followed by a discussion of concrete actions that school and nonprofit groups on Bainbridge Island are taking to improve health for communities locally and globally.
SeaShare highlighted the importance of providing nutritious food to our local and national food bank system, specifically protein from seafood.
It was a really fun night. Other groups in attendance included the Bainbridge Island High School's Global Health Club, Partners in Health, Kito, and the Bainbridge Island Ometepe Sister Islands Association.
